World Environment Day 2026 Focuses on Climate Action in Baku

Azerbaijan hosted the official global commemoration of World Environment Day two thousand twenty-six in Baku. Focused heavily on climate action under the theme Inspired by Nature, the event emphasized combating extreme heat and the necessity of transitioning away from fossil fuels. Highlighting the critical need to maintain global temperatures, the United Nations urged nations to slash methane emissions, protect vulnerable ecosystems, and fulfill financial promises to developing countries immediately.
