The traditional Koftgari metal craft of Udaipur has officially received the Geographical Indication tag, recognizing its unique cultural heritage. Art and Culture Minister Diya Kumari celebrated this milestone, emphasizing that the formal recognition will protect local artisans from counterfeit products. The state government plans to establish a dedicated training center in Udaipur to promote this intricate weaponry ornamentation technique among the younger generation of craftsmen.
