Supreme Court Recognises Access to Trauma Care Under Article 21

The Supreme Court of India ruled that timely access to emergency trauma care is a fundamental right under Article 21. In the 'SaveLIFE Foundation' judgment, the Court directed states to consolidate ambulance helplines into a unified '112' system within three months. Registered ambulances must also comply with the National Ambulance Code and GPS tracking.
