Rajasthan Aims for Complete Power Self-Reliance by 2027

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma directed the Energy Department to achieve absolute power self-reliance for Rajasthan by 2027. The state has already reduced its external power dependency from roughly eight percent in May 2025 to a mere two percent by May 2026. Furthermore, thermal power stations achieved a record generation capacity of 7,171 MW recently, paving the way for uninterrupted electricity supply across both urban and rural regions.
